Good Afternoon Families!
Welcome back! We hope you had a wonderful Spring Break! Below are some highlights from our week. "Today was the last day of Book Creator. We were giving nice feedback to our group. I liked Meyer's book because it had lots of pictures in it to help me understand the writing." Carter "Yesterday we did In-Line skating. The best part was that it was my first time on rollerblades!" Jack "In art we made a self portrait of ourself yelling with our hair flying. We used paint and we had to get lots of water and then we dabbed on our paper. Then we blew the paint with straws." Jett "This week in math we were working on a picture and we made math stories. Our group got a picture of 6 kids rollerblading. One of my ideas was, Uhoh there are too many kids rollerskating and not enough skates and helmets. How many kids do we need to take away so that we have enough?" Addy "We mapped the school and we made a legend first so that we know what was what. The library is the biggest and the library also has the most books. My symbol was a book fot the library." Emily VK "In music we learned a song that we get to dance to and tap the beat to. We have to walk to the beat of the song." Lucy "Coming up soon is Shave a Lid for a Kid. Lots of kids are doing it. It helps other kids that have cancer." Ben "In math we played a math game called war and we each got a stack and we had to add or subtract the cards. The person with the bigger number won the cards." Dylan and Isla "In math we used the power of ten cards to make ten."
